21st August 2007 - against Planners

Captains Log

WL Gordon's prevented a run of 5 straight defeats against our friends from
the Planners.
Having tried X1 against Preston and X11 against the Bush a new team
formation of X did the busso.
Shaz and Jason terrorised the Planners batsman with pace and wickets. Dave W again chipped in with a useful spell of timber felling and surprise
package Richard Lofthouse had a great debut with wickets, catches and runs.
Jon too was inspirational behind the stumps.. This restricted the Planners to
65 all out.
WL got off to a nervous start with Tim giving a
chance with his first ball and then Phil was bowled out first ball.

Then a partnership of about 50 between Tim 19 and Dave
F 27no put the game beyond the Planners .It was good to see Tim who again
fielded well and play some attractive shots. It was only fitting that Richard L
should hit the winning runs with about 5 overs to spare.
