August 2007 - against Bush
Following the batting and umpiring
collapse against Shazes mob a couple of weeks ago a new tactical
plan was formed.
Pete decided 12 men might bat better than X1 Unfortunately the 12
men of Bush batted longer and better.
Having been reduced to 65 all out under the old laws the Bush put
up a last and eleventh wicket stand of a further 48 totaling 113.
All bowlers bowled well for WL and took wickets Eric a couple in
his first over Nick S,Jason, Chris, Dave F, Dave W but only a back
to form Dave Wright batted with distinction completing an excellent
allround display.Jon kept wicket beautifully with some excellent
stops run outs and stumping's.
Also reminding us all to WALK IN when fielding.Tim did some great
work on the boundary and Cameron almost pulled off an amazing catch.
It has to be said that both teams caught well so the batting was
again the difference between the two sides.
Chief culprits DF and CL both got out to balls that bounced twice.
Let's try 12 batsman against the Planners!
